The new baseball stadium, which was finalized on the 20th of last month and started its final construction, received the right to name the new stadium by signing a contract to use and profit from the new stadium on the condition that Hanwha Life Insurance paid 48.6 billion won to Daejeon City, and the name was finally decided after fan preference surveys and discussions with experts.

The Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark was built with two basement floors and four ground floors with a total project cost of 207.4 billion won. The total number of spectators is 20,07, and the parking lot has 1,220 underground spaces and 459 on the ground. The underground parking lot was designed to allow the team bus to enter directly, reducing the movement of players as much as possible.

The most unique part of the new ballpark is the Infinity Pool, which is not found in any other ballpark in the world. The 1.5-meter-deep pool allows visitors to swim from the height of the eighth floor of an apartment building and watch games. Next to it is a camping zone and a caravan, where visitors can enjoy leisure time. There will be a large sports brand store on the first floor, and various brands of "The Bourbon Korea," run by Jongwon Baek, will be on the third floor.

The permanent numbers of Hanwha Eagles are displayed at the entrance of the ballpark. Numbers 35 Jang Jong-hoon, 23 Jung Min-cheol, 21 Song Jin-woo, and 52 Kim Tae-kyun will be installed as large-sized structures, attracting baseball fans. Meanwhile, the new ballpark also plans to build a large kids cafe for children to create an environment where families with children can enjoy watching baseball.

Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark will have its opening ceremony on March 6 and will have its first official match as an exhibition match between Hanwha and Samsung on March 17.
